YourWords STL

As 2023 comes to close, consider a donation to support our programming

Almost nine years ago, YourWords STL was founded with a mission to amplify the words of marginalized youth and a vision of bridging St. Louis divides. In January of 2024, we'll bring together 93 students from Saint Louis Priory School and Loyola Academy of St. Louis to work together, as a part of their school's curriculums over a period of 3 months. We'll also begin our Creative Writing Workshops, with the 16 to 20-year-old apprentices of St. Louis ArtWorks , sponsored by Poetry Foundation & Poetry Magazine , National Endowment for the Arts , and Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis .
This past year we also worked with recent immigrants from Bosnia, Sudan, and Afghanistan in partnership with Bosnian poet Nikola Lero , the young people of Dream Builders 4 Equity , and the middle-schoolers of @LinkSTL at Clay Community Resource Center.
Please consider supporting our work as we close out this calendar year with a final fundraising push.  And thank you for all of our support these nearly 9 years!
